A leading member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, has stated that former President John Dramani is “still lurking in the shadows” waiting for another chance to fix things. ‘Gabby Otchere Darko’s comments come at the time some unhappy Ghanaians launched an online protest—#FixTheCountry to vent their anger over what they say is the failure on the part of successive administrations to improve the lives of the citizenry. Tens of thousands of posts have been made on Twitter and other social media platforms highlighting some of the challenges with the Ghanaian economy.
Otchere Darko stated in a Facebook post sighted by YEN.com.gh. “They know how to fix prices proper. First 4yrs under Akufo-Addo our petrol prices went up by 24%. The 4yrs under Mahama petrol prices shot up by 92%. The 4yrs under Mills-Mahama was slightly better at 83%. “Mahama is still lurking in the shadows… waiting for another chance to fix things. Good morning!” he added.
